Canada Has Lower Gravity

Scientists have found that certain parts of Canada, particularly the Hudson Bay area, have lower gravity than the rest of the Earth.  They've also found that the sea level along the Hudson Bay's coast is dropping, while the seal level everywhere else in the world is rising.  Two theories suggest why the phenomenon exists and focus on unique characteristics of the land deep beneath the Earth's crust.

Understanding Dreams

The average human spends six years of their life dreaming.  Despite many detailed studies on dreams, scientists have been unable to agree on why we have them.  We do know, however, that people do not only dream in black and white, as was once believed.  Some researchers have even developed techniques for controlling your dreams.

Elderly Driving

According to The Guinness Book of World Records, the world's worst driver was a 75-year-old man who received 10 traffic summonses because he "drove on the wrong side of the road four times, committed four hit-and-run offenses, and caused six accidents, all within 20 minutes, in McKinney, Texas, on Oct. 15, 1966."

Life Expectancy

In 1920, for the first time in recorded history, the average life expectancy of human beings exceeded that of goldfish. Before that year, a newborn infant could expect to live 48.4 years. For many species of wild goldfish, the projected life span was over 50.
